- Join the Group on a tour of the workings of Houston Ship Channel on the Sam Houston Boat Tour Friday Morning. Embarking from Port Houston’s Sam Houston Landing, visiting sightseers aboard the M/V Sam Houston can enjoy passing views of international cargo vessels and operations at the port’s Turning Basin Terminal. The 95-ft. vessel holds up to 100 passengers and features air-conditioned lounge seating, as well as standing room outside on the boat’s deck.
- Then its on to Lunch at Kelley’s Country Cookin’ just like Mama used to make!
- Load the bus and its on to the tour of the Minute Maid Ball Park—home of the Houston Astros. The year 2000 saw something the grand old game of baseball had not experienced since 1964 – a Major League team in Houston playing on natural grass outdoors. While clear skies and real grass were welcome additions for fans, also enjoyed was the Minute Maid Park’s 242-foot high, retractable roof. A jewel in the crown of the majestic downtown Houston skyline. Bring your walking shoes and a bottle of water! A Hold Harmless Release must be signed by EACH person before you are allowed on the tour. This must be turned in by June 20th to me. Release is attached.
- Friday Evening is Social and Meal provided by the Associates of the Association.

- Early up Saturday! No sleeping in! It’s a busy day. The shooters in the group will head out to the shooting range. Any women who would like to shoot are welcome. Youth are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Bring your own gun and ammo. But if you forget, ammo is available for sale at shooting range.
- Those who are not into shooting will have fun at the hotel with a social activity and a few morning drinks—if you get my drift! Women and Men are welcome!
- The afternoon is filled with Business Meetings, followed by a social hour then the banquet. Wear your favorite summer dressy attire to the Banquet!
